The foundation of our martial arts program is Songahm Taekwondo developed by the American Taekwondo Association (ATA) at the hand of Eternal Grand Master Haeng Ung Lee.  The ATA is the largest organized martial arts association in the world with over a million members.  Taekwondo is a non-aggressive and ethical system of self-defense and developed from humble beginnings over 1,000 years ago. It has since spread internationally to become one of the world’s most successful and popular martial art. Its practitioners enjoy physical and mental discipline, as well as excellent fitness and the ability to defend themselves if necessary. Taekwondo is a way of life for over 30 million enthusiasts around the world.

Taekwondo

A traditional Taekwondo program that concentrates on self defense and physical fitness. Students in this program will learn about the history and philosophy of Songahm Taekwondo, and experience the dynamic techniques that has made it the most popular Martial Art in the world. All while increasing your strength, flexibility, dexterity, coordination and balance. You’ll soon realize that you are sick less often. When you do get sick, you’ll recover quickly. Self Defense Tactic For The Real World
In addition to our Taekwondo program,  Smith Martial Arts Center instructors train students to strike, clinch, takedown, and submit on the ground in either a controlled mixed martial arts environment, or any environment that would require the need for self-defense.  You will also learn a variety of submissions along with lethal and no-lethal force.  This combination of styles provides the perfect addition to your current martial arts program or for any individual wanting an enthusiastic core program, focusing on relevant, real world, self-defense.  These classes are for adults only, ages 18 and up.
